What is the church? What does it do? How does the church function? What is its ultimate purpose?

As the body of Christ we need to ask:

Where are we now and where are we going? What is the Lord doing? How are we responding to Him? How are we changing over time?

As the body of Christ we need to ask:

What are the eternal purposes of the Lord? How can they be fulfilled? What is our part? How does the church contribute to the Lord's purposes?
